FAQ

Who is a “computing student”?

You are a computing student if you study computer science, computer engineering, electrical engineering, digital arts and sciences, data science, etc. Anyone interested in these fields or UF computing in general could also benefit from CSU!

How do I join CSU?

You don’t have to “join” CSU like you would a traditional club. CSU is building a collection of resources that you can leverage to advance your computing career and bring your ideas to life. Just join the Discord community to stay updated and explore everything we offer through the website! If you have a project idea that will benefit the student body, contact us and we will lend our resources to help you bring that idea to life.

How can I get involved with CSU?

If you’re interested in being part of the building and maintenance of CSU, keep an eye out for leadership and tech team applications opening periodically on Discord and Instagram.

What events does CSU host?

CSU doesn’t host traditional general body meetings (GBMs). We host 1-2 events per semester to announce our new projects/products in a large space where students can also enjoy free food and socialize.
